The purpose of the event was to bring the six leaders closer together.
It needed to become easier for the leaders to ask for help, and they were to focus on putting people first – while still achieving their goals. We approached the task as follows:
Day 1: Departure and Arrival
– Flight + transfer to the mountains north of Málaga (45-minute drive from the airport)
– Tapas and a short introduction before going to bed
Day 2: Who are we?
– Walk and talk on the topic “Who are you?”, feedback method, group review and sparring based on individual self-assessment of professional strengths and weaknesses (6 parameters)
Day 3: Outdoor Learning
– Full-day excursion in two groups. Each group followed a different route and had to solve tasks that forced them to choose between helping the other group or reaching their own goal.
The many incidents along the way gave the group a shared (and non-threatening) language and allowed them to align their views on otherwise difficult topics
Day 4: Reflection
– Team coaching on shared goals for improved collaboration, as well as setting individual goals
